"Hello, I'm Johnny Cash" is an album released by the American country singer in 1970 on Columbia Records. It includes the hit duet "If I Were a Carpenter" with his wife June Carter Cash, which earned the couple a Grammy award in 1971. The album also features "To Beat the Devil", the first Kris Kristofferson song covered by Cash, and singles "See Ruby Fall" and "Blistered". The album reached #1 on the country charts and No. 6 on the pop charts and was certified Gold by the RIAA. It has been re-released on CD and digital platforms, and not to be confused with a 1977 compilation album of the same name.

Johnny Cash, born in Arkansas in 1932, was a musician and songwriter known for his distinctive voice and blend of country, rock, and folk music. He began his career in the 1950s, releasing his first hit single, "I Walk the Line," in 1956. Throughout his career, Cash released over 50 albums and had numerous hit songs, including "Ring of Fire," "Folsom Prison Blues," and "A Boy Named Sue."

Cash was also known for his rebellious image and his performances at prisons, including Folsom and San Quentin. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1980 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992.

In addition to his successful music career, Cash also acted in films and television shows, and wrote multiple books, including his 1997 autobiography "Cash: The Autobiography."

Despite his success, Cash also struggled with personal demons, including drug addiction. He passed away in 2003 at the age of 71.
