In this talk titled 'Healing Racial Prejudice and Achieving Race Unity' given at the 2020 Grand Canyon Baha'i Conference (held online), Dr. Firaydoun Javaheri shares some personal thoughts on the subject of healing racial prejudice and achieving racial unity.

Dr. Firaydoun Javaheri is a former member of the Universal House of Justice and holds a doctorate in agronomy. He was born in Iran and lived in The Gambia for two years and then Zambia for 25 years where he was Chief Technical Adviser for the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations. He served the Baha’i communities there in the area of social and economic development, and in 1995 he was appointed on the Continental Board of Counsellors after having served for 19 years as an Auxiliary Board Member. In 1996 as a Continental Counsellor he helped to inaugurate the Banani International Secondary School in Zambia, a private girls school for grades 8-12, and based on the principles of the Baha’i Faith. In 2003 he was elected to the Universal House of Justice until he retired in 2018.
