Hard To Be An Outlaw was part of Willie's album Band Of Brothers which was released in 2014. The album would soar all the way to #1 on the Country album charts. It was written by fellow outlaw legend Billy Jo Shaver who would record it on his album Long In The Tooth from the same year. Shaver's album would also chart on the album charts becoming his first album to chart on the Country album charts.
