Gulf Coast Highway by Nanci Griffith. It was written and recorded in 1988 about the bad times in the Oil Industry along Highway 90. Emmylou Harris and Willie Nelson covered the song in 1990. I watched Nanci perform several times in the late 80's early 90's.
