I stayed up for three days in a row guarding Garth Brooks's guitars and other musical equipment at the Tacoma Dome.
I was so tired and worn out by day three but Garth Brooks is worth it, Garth is one of the only True Artist's I had the privilege to work for that is kind and give's back to his fans.
Heck, I remember being a little kid watching his music videos on our old tube TV.
Now here I am a grown adult (and GUITAR player!) guarding Garth Brook's guitars, the same musician I watched on TV as a kid.
Mind blowing.
Never got to meet Garth, but his caterer was leaving late one night when I was on break (we never really break at night - just quickly eat and get back) and was so nice and gave me and the Tacoma Dome Security guard some leftovers I think it was brisket, so awesome of her.
I moved from Tacoma to Ellensburg, WA. a couple months later and the music scene here is DOA.
I miss the music scene at Tacoma Dome, such amazing experiences.
Garth Brooks, you are a really cool guy, thank you for the opportunity to guard your guitars, I was awestruck (but professional and on guard) the whole time, thank you.
Might have been minimum wage but I had a job and I was guarding Garth Brooks musical equipment!
I couldn't believe I was picked for this it was so cool.
I hope I can afford a nice guitar like yours someday and have the confidence to rock out on stage, I have the full music put together, but the guitar budget is just not there yet .
Then the thunder rolls...
