As our trip comes to an end, we have one final day of riding and luckily, we get to go through Death Valley National Park! After covering some distance the days prior on the Loneliest Road in America, we spent the night in Beatty, Nevada and got up bright and early to hit the road and explore the park before riding out on Highway 190 and sharing Josh's story of how he went down on that exact highway a few years back. Not only that. but Beatty was one of the first places we filmed in our very first episode 3 years ago...Oh how time flies!

ABOUT BEATTY, NEVADA
Before the arrival of non-indigenous people in the 19th century, the region was home to groups of Western Shoshone. Established in 1905, the community was named after Montillus (Montillion) Murray "Old Man" Beatty, who settled on a ranch in the Oasis Valley in 1896 and became Beatty's first postmaster. With the arrival of the Las Vegas and Tonopah Railroad in 1905, the town became a railway center for the Bullfrog Mining District, including mining towns such as nearby Rhyolite.[4] Starting in the 1940s, Nellis Air Force Base and other federal installations contributed to the town's economy as did tourism related to Death Valley National Park and the rise of Las Vegas as an entertainment center.
ABOUT DEATH VALLEY NATIONAL PARK
Death Valley National Park straddles eastern California and Nevada. It’s known for Titus Canyon, with a ghost town and colorful rocks, and Badwater Basin’s salt flats, North America's lowest point. Above, Telescope Peak Trail weaves past pine trees. North of the spiky salt mounds known as the Devil’s Golf Course, rattlesnakes live in Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes.
