Garth Brooks, one of the most successful country artists, shocked the music world in 2000 by deciding to quit at the height of his career. Leaving behind fame, concerts, and crowds of fans, he moved to Oklahoma to raise his three daughters, Taylor, August, and Allie. It was the beginning of a difficult but meaningful journey for him.
In his new book, *The Anthology Part IV: Going Home*, Garth shares revelations about how he tried to save his first marriage to Sandy Mahl, coping with a divorce, and learning to be a father. He describes living in a small house of just 700 square feet and picking up his daughters at 6 p.m. every day to give them full parental attention.
It was a period of rethinking: Brooks acknowledges that his family had sacrificed for his dream, and it was time for him to sacrifice for them. However, he calls these years "a gift" because they allowed him to become the father he always wanted to be.
The difficulties included not only the breakup with his first wife, but also personal experiences. Brooks describes this period as the darkest in his life, but notes that it was these moments that taught him the importance of family.
His second chance at happiness was country singer Trisha Yearwood. In 2005, they married, and Brooks says her support helped his daughters and himself reach a new level of family happiness.
This story is about how true success is measured not by the number of awards, but by the quality of relationships with loved ones. The video will tell you about the life of Garth Brooks, his decision to leave music for the sake of his children, as well as the trials and lessons that helped him become the person he is today.
