Baubles, Boat Bars, and Highwaymen—Palm Beach Antique Fest...
The Palm Beaches are a winter playground for collectors! This huge, high quality antique show burgeons in season, with 2–4 large buildings full the first weekend each month. This video just scrapes the surface of all its wondrous vintage variety, we’ll come back to film more during the massive February extravaganza but this should whet the collector’s appetite.

What a show we see, where mod Lucite furniture shares space with general store cabinets, and elegant French art deco bronzes are juxtaposed with the clunky telephones of the same era. West Palm gets dealers who don’t do the Gulf Coast shows, so we see fresh stock in silhouettes, quilts and linens, advertising and toys, along with an entire space filled with Florida Highwaymen outsider art.
What did Lincoln take to the theater the night he was shot? How did early home schoolers get curriculum to teach their kids? How can you spot fakes and fantasy items in Jadeite glass? This episode answers these and other questions, including how to drink coffee from a cup with no handle.
Last but not least, fans and buyers of Lucite purses and vintage costume jewelry get to see a huge variety of pieces representing almost every important designer name, courtesy of a couple of dealers who bring a massive amount of well chronicled examples.

I hope my review of the West Palm Beach Antique Fest helps you learn more about antique and vintage items, delights the eye and shows why people travel for a good antique show!
I’m happy to be sharing my real world vintage encounters with the online community. I love sharing our passion and hope we will all help each other with our antique education.
Here’s some more of what I find:
Copper lustre, Pietra Dura, Imari, Lucite purses, vintage compacts, patriotic embroideries, Highwaymen paintings, pickled bamboo, 1930s floor model radio, sculptures and figurines, Black Forest clock, art glass, mirrors, figural napkin rings, sewing chatelaine, vintage purses, Meerschaum pipes
