Garth Brooks celebrates 10 years of Words With Friends

(2 May 2019) GARTH BROOKS CELEBRATES 10 YEARS OF WORDS WITH FRIENDS
When video game maker Zynga heard that Garth Brooks was a big fan of social word game "Words with Friends," they invited the country star to their San Francisco headquarters to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the popular game.
At the tech company's offices Wednesday (1 MAY 2019), the country star hosted a live game of "Words With Friends" and spoke about his love of the cell phone game.
Brooks said he's able to compete with his children – but can't come close to beating his wife, fellow recording artist Trisha Yearwood.
"I try to play Miss Yearwood but Miss Yearwood beats me like a rag every time," he laughed. "She's very competitive and she's very good at."
While at Zynga, Brooks also officially opened the final pre-order window for his limited edition, seven-disc vinyl box set called "The Legacy Collection." The first window for the special edition collection sold more than 400 thousand units in just a few hours.
Before leaving, Brooks played part of a new song he's working on, earning a standing ovation from the audience.
