It's Year 7 in the MLB The Show 23 Franchise with the Oakland Athletics. The rebuilding appears to be over. After putting together a 99 win season last year the A's competed for a World Series berth, falling short in the ALCS. As we enter Year 7 the offense remains almost unchanged. But the pitching staff has seen some significant change. New starting pitchers and a new look bullpen will try to carry on last year's success, for a team that hopes to continue competing for a championship.

The A's are the toughest team for Franchise mode in MLB The Show this year, with their weak roster, struggling farm system, and the lowest budget in baseball. The rebuild of this team won't be easy. And there aren't many future stars already on the roster. We need to scout, develop, and completely change this team to succeed in the rebuild.
