Family Of Loretta Lynn Prepare For The Country Legend’S Last Days
Loretta Lynn is famous as a country singing legend, well known for her hits which include ‘You ain’t woman enough’ and ‘Coal miner’s daughter’. Sadly in early 2017, Loretta suffered from a life changing stroke. She was 87 at the time and spent 3 months in recovery at a rehabilitation centre.
Loretta said at the time, “"Thank you so much for all of your prayers, love, and support. I'm happy to say that I'm at home with my family and getting better by the day."
Specialists expected Loretta to make a full recovery, but unfortunately, after the initial success of her physio, Loretta suffered another health setback. At the beginning of 2018, she fell whilst at home and fractured her hip. As a result of the accident, Loretta was unable to walk anymore and had to use a wheelchair and walking frame to remain mobile.
The stroke itself has left her brain fuzzy at times, and she often forgets where she is or what she is doing. Loretta says, “Every now and then, I’ll look around and think of my home and I’ll say, ‘Am I at the ranch?’ And [my daughter] Patsy will say, ‘No, Momma, you’re here in Kingston Springs.’ And it’ll kinda bring me back to reality.”
In a recent interview Loretta was heard saying that she wanted to tour again, however according to other sources Loretta’s condition seems to be getting worse. Apparently she has been talking to her children about booking some dates for a tour, and whilst this has given her some hope, it is apparent to all around her that in reality it will not happen.
It has been reported that her family want to move her to a nursing home, so that she can receive the proper care she needs in her final days. Loretta does already have nursing care at home, but due to glaucoma the family are worried that she may suffer a fatal fall. Her children want her to be somewhere where she is being cared for 24/7.
Another source added that some of Loretta’s country singing friends, Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson, wanted to visit her during her last days. Despite all of the reports, Loretta’s have not given a statement concerning the start’s failing health. Loretta has not been seen in the public eye since her birthday in 2018 which was a star studded affair.
