The annual Thibodaux Firemen's Fair is a festival that is put on and funded by the volunteers of the Thibodaux Vol. Fire Dept. Year after year, the department raises money through this fundraiser to help support the departments needs throughout the need. All of the proceeds of this festival go to the Non-Profit Organization.
The festival is ALWAYS held on the first Sunday in May. It starts on Thursday evening with Pay-one-Price rides, Live entertainment, and good ole South Louisiana Food. Friday is filled with another night of FREE live entertainment. Saturday is an action packed day starting with a 5k Race in the morning. Then, throughout the day Saturday, we have Live Auction, Pay-one-Price Rides, more food, (and yes) more entertainment. Finally, on Sunday morning, we start things off with a Parade of Firemen that passes through the City of Thibodaux and ends at the fairgrounds. Immediately following the parade is an auction of auctions, filled with GREAT items to bid on, more live entertainment, and more food.
