I'm an Australian who lived in Paris for a year in 2016 and has been in a relationship with a Frenchman for the past 6 years. Since leaving Paris to live in London, I've regularly visited France to see family and friends and holiday. I also did my degree in Media and Film & Culture and work in the creative industry.

Here are my thoughts on how realistic Emily In Paris is in terms of its representation of the experience of being an English-speaking expat in Paris (specifically, as Paris and the rest of France are two different things). Of course, every expat experience is different. These are just my thoughts and opinions.
