As part of their "In Performance at the White House" series, the President and First Lady invited country music legends and contemporary major artists to the White House for a celebration of country music. The program includes performances by Lauren Alaina, The Band Perry, Dierks Bentley, Alison Krauss, Kris Kristofferson, Lyle Lovett, Mickey, Darius Rucker and James Taylor.

A CMA Award-winning singer/songwriter, Dieks Bentley is a GRAMMY Award nominated artist with eight number one hits who has forged his own brand of Country music combining classic Country songwriting, influences of bluegrass instrumentation and the energy of rock and roll. Bentley is a member of the Grand Ole Opry and has headlined arena tours across the U.S. and abroad.

Lauren Alaina is an American country singer from Rossville, Georgia. Alaina was the runner-up on the tenth season of American Idol. Her debut studio album, Wildflower was released on October 11, 2011.

"In Performance at the White House" is a series of events created to showcase the music that's contributed to the fabric of American culture and chronicled the history of its people, performed in the setting of the nation's most famous home.
