Dia de Muertos is NOT Mexican Halloween. But the holiday celebrated in Mexico and Latin America has a lot of connections with both the Celtic Samhain, Halloween, and MesoAmerican traditions. Plus, the days of the dead have a lot of rituals and elements that continue to evolve.
