उत्तराखंड जैसे खूबसूरत राज्य से पूरा देश वाकिफ है, बल्कि यहां की कुछ ऐसी जगह हैं, जो विदेशों के लोगों में काफी लोकप्रिय हैं, जैसे ऋषिकेश और हरिद्वार। योग राजधानी के रूप में प्रसिद्ध ऋषिकेश में आप विदेशियों को भी घूमते हुए देख पाएंगे। लेकिन आज हम आपको उत्तराखंड में मौजूद एक ऐसे रहस्यमय मंदिर के बारे में बताने वाले हैं, जहां लोग दूर-दूर से दर्शन करने के लिए आते हैं। जी हां, हम बात कर रहे हैं अल्मोड़ा के कसर देवी मंदिर की। ये मंदिर अपने एक अनोखे चुंबकीय चमत्कार से भी लोकप्रिय है, जिसके बारे में जानने के लिए अक्सर यहां वैज्ञानिक भी आते रहते हैं। माना जाता है कि इस चमत्कार के बारे में आजतक कोई भी पता नहीं लगा पाया है। चलिए आज हम आपको कसर मंदिर के बारे में बताते हैं।
कसार देवी वो जगह है, जहां स्वामी विवेकानंद भी आए थे, यहां उन्होंने ध्यान किया था, तब से ये जगह और मंदिर हर तरह के यात्रियों के बीच फेमस हो चुकी है। स्वामी विवेकानंद को ये जगह इतनी पसंद आई थी कि उन्होंने अपने लेखन में इसका जिक्र भी किया था। कसार देवी की लोगों में इतनी लोकप्रिय हुई कि यहां बॉब डायलन, जॉर्ज हैरिसन, कैट स्टीवंस, एलन गिन्सबर्ग और टिमोथी लेरी जैसे कुछ प्रसिद्ध व्यक्ति भी आए थे। 70 के दशक में हिप्पी संस्कृति के दशक में ये जगह हिप्पी हिल बन गई थी।
कसार देवी मंदिर भारत की देवभूमि के नाम से फेमस उत्तराखंड की अल्मोड़ा पहाड़ियों पर स्थित है। मंदिर के बारे में माना जाता है कि यहां देवी मां साक्षात अवतार में आई थीं। कहते हैं कि भारत की ये एक एकलौती ऐसी जगह है, जहां चुंबकीय शक्तियां मौजूद हैं। मंदिर के आसपास कई जगह हैं, जहां धरती के अंदर बड़े-बड़े भू-चुंबकीय पिंड हैं। आपको बता दें, कसार देवी मंदिर के आसपास का क्षेत्र वैन एलेन बेल्ट है। यहां धरती के अंदर भू-चुंबकीय पिंड है। इस मंदिर से कई शक्तियां जुड़ी हुई हैं, जिसका पता लगाने के लिए यहां नासा के वैज्ञानिक भी आए हैं, लेकिन आखिर में वो खाली हाथ ही लौटे हैं। इस क्षेत्र के आसपास लोगों को मानसिक शांति का अनुभव होगा



Kasar Devi is a village near Almora, Uttrakhand. It is known for the Temple dedicated to Goddess Kasar Devi.
The temple structure dates to the 2nd century. A place also known for Crank's Ridge, just outside the village, which was popular destination during the Hippie movement of the 1960s and 1970s, and continues to attracts trekkers and tourists, both domestic and foreign.
The area was visited by many personalities of the counter-culture like Swami Vivekananda, Sunyata Baba, Alfred Sorensen and Lama Anagarika Govinda, Bob Dylan, George Harrison and Cat Stevens, Western Buddhist Robert Thurman, and writer D. H. Lawrence were among Famous Personalities who spent two summers here.
This temple has been of special importance because the region around this temple has enormous geomagnetic field because this temple comes under the Van Allen Belt. The causes behind the formation of this belt have been researched by NASA. The other two famous places having similar high magnetic field are Machu Picchu in Peru and Stone Henge in England.
Kasar Devi is situated on a hill top, on the edge of a ridge off the Almora-Bageshwar highway. It is accessible through eight-km hike from Almora or 10 km by road. There is a village of Kalimath nearby popular with tourists. Also Kasar Devi is Situated nearby Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, which lies 30 km away.
The area is home to deodar and pine forests. It also provides views not just of Almora and the Hawabagh Valley, but also of the panoramic view of the Himalayas from Bandarpunch peak on the Himachal Pradesh border to Api Himal in Nepal.
