Here we have David Graham performing the Waylon Jennings song "I'm a Long Way from Home" in the style of Shooter Jennings. As the creator of this youtube channel, it's been a great pleasure to be able to record so many talented artists and while doing so, I found myself inspired to make some songs myself. I've always been a big fan of the legends like Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings, but when I realized how simple some of their classics were, I gained a whole new appreciation for their music. I realized it didn't take some deep thinking poet to write a song that others could enjoy or relate to. All it takes is someone who is honest in their songwriting even if it comes off as "simple" and after all, I don't think being a simple man/woman is a bad thing. It feels good to be the one in front of the camera for once and I want to personally thank Dan Regner and for meeting me and shooting this session. Not to mention all of the other shoots you've been a part of, I really appreciate it brother! I Hope yall enjoy this session and Lord willing, I'll have some original music coming soon.
