“Crazy” is a country ballad written by Willie Nelson. Released in 1961 by country music star Patsy Cline, the single “Crazy” from her album “Showcase” became an immediate hit and one of Cline’s signature songs. In 1999, country singer LeAnn Rimes released her single of the song from her album “LeAnn Rimes.” She later performed the song at the White House for President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush, who stated that “Crazy” was one of her favorite songs. Other notable versions of the song have been recorded by Linda Ronstadt, Willie Nelson, Colleen Peterson, Gina Jeffreys, Neil Young, and former French First Lady Carla Bruni, among others. With a country style and flair, the song “Crazy” is improvised by pianist Charles Manning.
