Many eagle-eyed readers of Usborne's cult classic children's book The World of The Unknown: GHOSTS have noticed that, on the pages about Pluckley (the 'village with a dozen ghosts' in Kent, UK) there are what appear to be two hands creeping in to the left of the photo of the spot where a spectre of a highwayman has been seen.
Are they a spoof, product of the author and art director having a giggle on location in 1977, or is there more to these creepy hands than can be explained?
