Track released by country singer Charlie Stewart in 1970 on Show Land Records.

Charlie Stewart (1936-2016) was a country music singer and songwriter from Kentucky who released records from the 1950s through the 1970s, many of them released as Charlie Stewart and The Gem Tones. He recorded on many private labels, include Show Land, Jewel, and Nabor, and allegedly wrote thousands of songs over his career. His recordings have appeared on many compilations of rockabilly and country music, including the Hillbillies In Hell series and several holiday music compilations. Some of his Christmas tracks were recently reissued by Numero Group

Show Land Records was a private label active in the 1970s and 1980s in Nashville, Tennessee.

From Numero Group's website:

" A drill press operator by day and songwriter in the off hours, Kentucky-born Charlie Stewart cut two dozen story songs over his patchwork career, covering a range of topics including haunted houses, cave murder, Johnny Cash, Fidel Castro, and the hippie scourge’s war on Santa. 'The money wasn’t bad, but the booze is always there and you get to throwin’ your money away,' Stewart said of his two decade career, 'I tried to get out, but I just couldn’t do it…. I just couldn’t get a toe in the door.' " ---
