Cahara the Mercenary was born with an endless Soul, causing him to endlessly seek freedom and creativity; however, he was born into a harsh world and was abandoned by his parents at a young age. In the city of Jettaiah within the Eastern SanctuariesSancturies, he had to fend for himself where he had to decide to either become a pickpocket or try and live an honest life. Either way, Cahara sought more than the mundane existence he was born into and became a mercenary where he learned their non-conventional tactics that helped him stay alive.

He joined a group of veteran highwaymen, eventually starting his own bandit group that raided the lands before Cahara came to settle in the kingdom of Rondon where he became part of their criminal underworld to earn money. Here he met Celeste who he became romantically involved with as we see in his Endless Dream flashback as she is pregnant with their child; however, she was indentured to a brothel in the city, and couldn’t leave unless her freedom was bought. Cahara resolves to free her and secure them a better life. His ticket to doing so shows up as the Kingdom officials put out a bounty on the fabled leader of the mercenary group, the Knights of the Midnight Sun, who we learn is the man of prophecy, Le’garde. He is being held in the Dungeons of Fear & Hunger and Cahara leaves to capture him and earn the silver from the reward.
