This show was a birthday tribute to Johnny Cash. Other acts on the bill included Ronnie Mack, Barry Holdship and Cisco. Brother Buzzard’s set consisted entirely of Johnny Cash songs, except for the powerful original “Unstrung,” written by bass player John Harlan, who would also sing the song with his next group the Psychedelic Cowboys.
