This song is about a poacher in the old days. I was inspired by the Irish folk song "The Newry Highwayman", whose English lyrics I translated freely into our Allgäu dialect.

I mainly play Irish Folk Songs and Ballads, American Country Music and Cowboy Songs - the kind of music that I feel most attracted to by heart. In my live performances I also include songs and storys based in the local dialect of my home, a region called "Allgäu", which is a mountainous area with strong traditions. I like music that I experience as authentic and real, to me represented by singers like Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie, Townes van Zandt, Johnny Cash, Christy Moore and many others that have inspired and influenced me.
