The death has occurred of Toby Keith, a country musician who was famous for songs like "Red Solo Cup" and "Should Have Been a Cowboy,” among others. He was 62 years old.

According to a statement that was shared on social media by his family, the singer-songwriter "passed peacefully" on Monday night. As the fall of 2021 approached, Keith received the news that he had stomach cancer.

The announcement included the following: "Toby Keith passed away peacefully last night on February 5 while surrounded by his family." "He fought his battle with dignity and bravery," the judge said.

The note closed by asking for the recipient to "please respect the privacy of his family at this time."

According to the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the musician was born Toby Keith Covel on July 8, 1961 in the state of Oklahoma. He was raised on a farm located west of Oklahoma City. Before deciding to devote his entire life to pursue a career in music, the man who has been a lover of country music for his entire life worked as a rodeo hand in high school and in oil fields after he graduated, all the while simultaneously performing in bars at night.

In the course of his time spent performing with a band known as Easy Money, he became acquainted with Tricia Lucus, the woman he would later marry for over four decades. They had been dating for three years prior to their wedding in 1984. Following their marriage, Keith adopted Shelley Covel Rowland, Lucus' daughter who was born in 1980. Subsequently, the couple had two more children: a daughter named Krystal in 1985 and a son named Stelen in 1997.According to the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, the superstar earned a solo record deal in the early 1990s after a period of time during which he played football in the minor leagues and performed on the honky-tonk circuit. He achieved breakthrough success with his single "Should've Been a Cowboy," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1993. The song went on to become the most played single on country radio during the decade, and his debut album, which was titled after himself, was awarded the platinum certification.

His success extended throughout the decade and into the early 2000s, with successes such as "How Do You Like Me Now?!" from 1999 and "You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This" from 2000, amongst other songs. Additionally, crossover appeal was achieved through collaborations such as his song "I'm So Happy I Can't Stop Crying," which was released in 1996, and his song "Beer for My Horses," which was released in 2003, which was a collaboration with Willie Nelson. As a result of the honky-tonk and country-rock songs regarding the cowboy lifestyle and patriotism that the singer of "Who's Your Daddy?" performed, he was able to connect with his audience and become one of the most successful musicians in the genre. During the course of his career, he was honored with the coveted entertainer of the year award at the American Country Music Awards five times. In 2021, he was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame (2015) as well as the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame (2021). In addition, he was eventually honored by the organization with the prestigious Merle Haggard spirit award. Over the course of his career, Keith has been involved in a number of controversial situations, one of which being a public dispute with Natalie Maines of The Chicks. Maines was critical of the single "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue (The Angry American)" that was published in 2002, which was released several months after the events of September 11, according to Biography. Additionally, he had a disagreement with country artist Kris Kristofferson, who supposedly discussed an encounter that the two of them had in 2003 according to a Rolling Stone story that was published in 2009.singer Toby Keith dies,Toby Keith death,Toby Keith passed away,Toby Keith dead with cancer, toby keith, toby keith remastered, keith, toby keith remastered videos, toby keith interview, toby keith american soldier, toby keith live, toby keith songs, toby keith lyrics, toby keith as good as i once was, toby keith greatest hits, toby keith courtesy of the red white and blue, toby keith playlist, toby keith full album, toby keith should've been a cowboy, toby keith cancer
