It was in the summer of 2000 in Southern California when Chief Dennis Ally introduced me to Willie Nelson to find out more about his passion and the plight of the family farmers. Big manufacturing farms were overtaking the industry and family farmers were losing.

I asked Willie how I could help. After this interview, I attended FARMAID in Bristol, Virginia as a VIP to promote a farm bill to members of congress.
