Cowboy Jack Clements wrote this candy store love song back in the late 50's. He was working at SUN RECORDS in Memphis where he met Johnny Cash. Johnny went on to record several of Jack's songs over the years.
Cowboy Jack started his own studio in Nashville and became known as a maverick producer, recording Charley Pride, the first African American country superstar.
