The Academics hailed from New Haven, Connecticut, nice uptempo white group record from 1957. The lead singer of the group, Dave Fisher later became a member of the Highwaymen of "Michael"(Row Your Boat Ashore" and "Cotton Fields" fame. More information can be found here on the Academics:
