More information about the video content bellow:
1. Wales, also known as Cymru, is part of the United Kingdom and well-known for its rich history and culture. Wales has not been politically independent since 1282, when it was conquered by King Edward I of England. However, in recent years, London has granted Wales increased control over issues such as spending and taxes.

2. The Welsh flag was recognized from 1959. The oldest known use of the dragon to represent Wales is from the Historia Brittonum, written around 830; the text describes a struggle between two serpents deep underground, which prevents King Vortigern from building a stronghold.

3. Welsh (Cymraeg) is a member of the Brittonic branch of the Celtic languages. It is spoken natively in Wales, by few in England, and in Y Wladfa (the Welsh colony in Chubut Province, Argentina). Historically, it has also been known in English as "Cambrian", "Cambric" and "Cymric". One of the longest town name in the world is llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, meaning St Mary’s Church in a hollow by the white hazel, close to the rapid whirlpool near the red cave of St Tysilio. The closest relative to ancient Welsh is Breton, spoken in Little Brittany, France.

4. Cardiff is the capital and largest city in Wales and it has been the capital of Wales since 1955. A large fort was built by the Romans in 75 AD, near the river Taff, as a defensive outpost.

5. Wales has more castles per square km than any other country. One of the most impressive is Caernarvon Castle, built in the 13th century and site of the 1969 investiture of Prince Charles.

6. Legends, stories and myths echo all around the Welsh landscape. One of the most famous legends to appear in Welsh folklore is the story of King Arthur and his knights. His legacy can be traced to everyday towns today such as Carmarthen which is believed to be the birthplace of Merlin. The County Library in Mold is home to the world’s largest collection of books on King Arthur - more than 2,000 volumes.

7. It was in the gardens of 17th century Nantclwyd Hall, near Ruthin, that Major Walter Wingfield apparently invented lawn tennis in 1873. He came up with the idea after playing with a new kind ball made from of India rubber which had been designed to bounce on grass.
