The 3-chord trick has been around for many years enabling beginners and intermediates to use the chords of D C and G moving only two fingers.

Here, we use Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire as a good example of how this method works.
The 3-chord trick goes back to the 60s when folk singers like Donovan used this technique.
Hundreds of popular pop, country and folk songs use only D C and G chords and lists of such songs can be found by searching the internet.
