Movie: “A Star Is Born” (Warner Brothers), starring Judy Garland, James Mason, Jack Carson, Charles Bickford, and Tommy Noonan.

The original 45rpm single was issued on Columbia 40270 - The Man That Got Away (Harold Arlen-Ira Gershwin) by Judy Garland, studio orchestra conducted by Ray Heindorf. Unlike the major “Three Coins” song hit, this tune never achieved a lot of mainstream attention at the time but is thought by some to have been the more deserving Oscar choice (likewise Judy Garland over Grace Kelly for Best Actress that year--but that’s another story). “A Star Is Born” was first filmed in 1937 as a non-musical with Fredric March & Janet Gaynor, later in 1976 with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson, and most recently in 2018 with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.
